Impatiently waiting!

My computer tower fell victim to a trojan horse, and was very, very ill 😦  But, luckily, the IT at my current job is nice and managed to cure it for me 🙂  Tomorrow, I get it back.  Then, Photoshoping and picture taking again!  I want to fiddle with the ‘stuff’ pictures of my wedding stuff 🙂

Stay tuned.

Some more about me

I thought I would introduce myself a little bit more….  Right now, I’m actually Danica Belter, but I’m getting married in 30 days, when I’ll become Danica Staudt.  I couldn’t wait to start the blog, so I’m using my new name already, lol!  I’ll admit, it seems funny seeing my soon-to-be name at the top of the page.

Some of my pictures

Since I’m creating a photography blog, it would make sense to post some of my photos!  Here are some pictures I took in 2007, when I was first getting into photography.  I think some of them are not bad!

In June 2007, I did the Chilkoot Hike with my family.  Below is a picture of Deep Lake, part of Day 4 on the trail.

At the end of the hike, my boots were ‘talking’ to me.  I was so happy they managed to hang on until the end of the hike!  May they R.I.P.

In September 2007, I took a botany course in Maine, and managed to get some great shots of the coast.  Since I have a fascination with sunsets, there are quite a few of those!

I thought I would share some of my photo inspirations in the form of photographers I really like and who’s style inspires me.  Hopefully one day, I can match their eye for light and the perfect shot!
  • My most recent inspiration is Sarah K Chen.  I really love her work, it truly captures the feeling of the moment, and the love of the couples she photographs.
  • My own wedding photographers, Picture That Photography, are exactly what I was looking for!  I cannot wait for my wedding pictures, because I know they will do a fabulous job!
  • Another friends photographer with awesome pictures.

I realize that my inspirations are wedding photographers, but with the wedding planning, that’s what I’m looking at!

Nature pictures also facinate me, espeically macro shots that show details we often miss.

The colour on this next photo is amazing!  I love that you can see the hair detail on the calyx behind the petals.

I love the way the light is captured in this shot.  Just breath taking!
