Hey, remember these guys ? Well, guess what they did? They had a little brood of 5 babies (right in the hitch of the 5th wheel!). It was a challenging to take pictures, there wasn’t much room to maneuver the lens and no way to set up the tripod. The pictures aren’t as crisp as I would like, but anyways, here they are!

I know I blogged recently about the un-official start of summer, but today is the first full day of official summer! Where I live, summer technically started last night at 11:04pm, but that barely counts 😉
In honour of summer, I offer this picture of a male and female mountain bluebird for your consideration.

Spring this year has been sporadic – one day it’s sunny, warm and fantastic; the next, snowy, blowy and cold. Did you see the joke going around, the ‘Failed to install spring, spring is not available in your country”? That about sums it up. So when it was a sunny, warm day I just had to get out of the office and enjoy some natural Vitamin D. Here are some of the pictures I took with my new cell phone (that’s a whole other story!).
From the downtown side of the High Level Bridge, looking towards my alma mater (University of Alberta).
After crossing the bridge, I headed down towards the river and was intrigued by my new perspective. I really like the lines in this one.
I met this little guy in the river valley. I think he thought I was going to give him a treat!
This shot was from the pedestrian walkway underneath the LRT bridge. I’ve been on that bridge when there were so many people on it, it was swinging! It was steady that day, thankfully 🙂
